Bug Description
Something really strange and on laptops, battery draining, is happening with no real reason: even if I close the lid, the screen stays on. I use the "do nothing" option from Tweaks to not suspend or something else as I need my laptop active even if lid is closed (I run things and I want to save my screen at the same time), but why would anyone want the screen to be ON if the lid is down? It makes no sense, one could not use it anyways. Even if there would be some extremely-edged case, the much better way around this is to allow those 2 people in a billion to change the default to their wish. On battery power it is not only about the screen run time and screen wear, but also the battery drainage for no real reason. My mind can not think of any reason the screen should be on with the lid off.
I tried manually to change it, to attach some code to the lid close event as in this link (https:/
