Backlight control does not work, but there are entries in /sys/class/backlight

But I can manipulate by brightness over /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness file.

Ubuntu version 13.04 amd64
Notebook ASUS UL50VT, this notebook has 2 video cards.

I have not installed proprietary driver for video card because it does not work correctly (I could not turn on any effect).

echo 8 > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness command changes brightness.
