Does not suspend right after resume

Bug Description

Hello,

I am using the latest Ubuntu Dapper. If I suspend my laptop by closing the lid and resume it with reopening the lid I get the lock-screen dialog. Now, if I try to suspend it again without unlocking, it fails.

Note that if I do not suspend and resume but instead lock my laptop manually, it is suspended correctly.

By fails do you mean it does not suspend again? Or do you get an error?

Thanks this bug report. To make progress, some more information will be needed.

Please attach (by commenting on the bug) to the bug report the output of the following commands:

uname -a

sudo lspci -vv

sudo lspci -vvn

sudo dmidecode

It would also be helpful if you could try to hibernate/suspend and after that fails, restart your system and attach /var/log/kern.log.0 as well.

Since there will be a lot of output, please do be sure to attach rather than commenting -in-line. Thanks again!

Tested it with latest Feisty and it does not occur any more. I would
consider this "rejected".
