Ubuntu Dapper hangs when /etc/init.d/vbesave starts...

Bug Description

When Dapper starts, it freezes when it comes to vbesave.

"Saving VESA state..." appears and then nothing.

I had to remove startup links for acpi-support so that Dapper starts again normally.

Ok - we only do this on laptop hardware now, which should fix almost all of these bugs.
