Bug Description

The touchpad configuration is not properly waken up after "sleep". The scrolling is not working neither the upper-right corner pseudo-third button, the rest seems ok.

The laptop is a Sony Vaio SZ Series

the mouse scroll of the touchpad is disabled when plugging an external USB mouse, and is _still_ disabled even after unplugging the external mouse.

This happens with the same xorg.conf as two posts above.

The fix of bug #35319 seems to fix this one as well.

I'd like to say that this bug is still apparent for me on my HP Pavilion dv400 notebook, even since I have just done a clean installation of Hardy. The scroller on the right of the trackpad initially works fine but sometimes after resuming from suspend, the scroll bar is not reconfigured. It is fairly random whether it will resume properly, so if it doen't, I often have to suspend and resume a couple of times to get it back.

My xorg.conf is totally unchanged from Hardy. I think the device is an Alps rather than a Synaptics.

Is there anything else I can test or upload to help get this sorted?

I can confirm this problem with a Dell Inspiron 1525 and using Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 beta. Also, speed and acceleration of the cursor movement aren't "waking up" properly.
I've noticed that by just opening the mouse preferences application from the menu, the settings go back to normal.

Scrolling does not work with wireless USB mouse too, after resuming from sleep. If i disconnect the USB stick and re-connect, scrolling works. I am using Intrepid 8.10 on a Dell Inspiron 1525.

Now [as in the last week] also affects Sony E series, running 11.04 with an Alps touchpad and the psmouse-alps-dkms patch.
