"Problem in Sleep" and "Problem in Hibernate" tell us that there is a problem, but not what the problem is. This article may help you to collect the information we need: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html Hi Chistian, Thanks for your bug report(s!). Unfortunately there are too many different parts in this report (8 in total I think) and it's not possible to follow them up in one go without getting confused. Could you help by filing a separate bug report for each item. The packages for the reports are: acpi-support for the brightness keys acpi-support for the wirelss card button acpi-support for the 'lid.sh' and an good description of what is happening that shouldn't be (or the other way around) gnome-power-manager for the sleep issue acpi-support for the hibernate Can you include a short section (just the relevant part - and you can get this by checking the timestamps) of '/var/log/acpid' for when you do each action. In the case of the gnome-power-manager issue, please give a paste/log from: lshal -m I'm going to close this bug now so that we don't get confused and it still being open aswell as the individual problems/issues.
