Bug Description
My laptop has /dev/sda as the hard drive, rather than /dev/hda.
The /etc/acpi/power.sh script has "hda" hardcoded, though, so the drive never
spins down on battery power. Changing the script to use sda fixes the issue for
me, but this needs to be parameterized.
YES, hdparm works for /dev/sda (libata PATA drive), thanks to Ubuntu using the
libata-dev patches on the default kernels -- those patches add hdparm support
(among other things) to the libata drivers (thanks!). I'm the author of hdparm,
by the way.
Cheers
