Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?

Oh, I have forgotten this bug.

The problem was on my case in the motherboard jumpers. I had to enable usb wakeup (change jumper USBPWXX from +5V to +5VSB) , then it works.

So this can be closed, sorry for late notification.

timbba does your usb keyboard work in bios and post bios(in grub for example?) ?

Mine doesn't and I have a hunch it's gotta do with that jumper

If I cold boot, then it normally doesn't work (too quick boot). Wireless usb keyboard however works, when
1) restarting machine from the OS
2) in cold boot case: pressing reboot-button, when grub has launched makes the keyboard working in next boot (concerns bios and grub)

I had the same problem with the logitech illuminated. Always thought the jumper was the culprit, however when I set the jumper in the correct state, my keyboard would just flash(being a illuminated keyboard right?).

My keyboard doesn't work in- and post boot. Does someone have an idea what this can be.

The suspend-resume issue is solved by setting the module uhci_hcd explicitly in /etc/pm/config.d/00sleep_module

->
SUSPEND_MODULES="$SUSPEND_MODULES uhci_hcd"

But does someone have an idea why my usb keyboard doesn't work in early boot, I have set usb legacy and the works. Other usb keyboards do work.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

No worries, thank you for clearing that up. I wasn't sure if this was still a problem, as the other user on this report said jumpers may not have been the issue. I shall close this bug report. Thank you again, and please continue to file any other bugs you find.
