Doesn't show progress during rip/encode

Bug Description

I have ripped/encoded several dvd's using different settings. Once the process has started I don't get any visual progress. I believe I do get information in the debug logs. But the program creates my file just fine.

Let me know if there is more information that I can provide. This is my first bug report :-/

This looks exactly like the bug #39076. Not sure why I didn't see it the first time I was here.
