Bug Description

Currently, the icon on gmail has a white background on it. I think it should follow the official iconography using just the gmail icon with 45º or 90º lines.

Thanks!

I think that the Gmail icon displayed here is an SVG. Qt usually does not render SVGs correctly when they are too complex (blur, clipping, transparency).
The solution would be to use a PNG version of the icon (see attachment).

@Matthieu James Why can't you just leave the icon with no background?

Because all the app icons (core and webapps) have a background and we want to keep them consistent, using the same shape for example.
