Bug Description
When typing past the end of a screen line, word wrap forces the display to the bottom of the window (this is new behavior since upgrading to precise and abiword 2.9.2) instead of wrapping to the next line without redrawing the entire page. When this happens, the line of text is drawn so close to the bottom of the window that the bottom pixel or two of descenders (the parts of letterforms that descend below the line, like the tail of lowercase "y" or the bottom of a comma) are cut off below the bottom of the window.
Often, but not always, the text and active insertion point are pushed one line below the bottom of the window. Typing a few more characters forces the screen to be redrawn so that the currently active line becomes visible (again at the very bottom of the window, with descenders cut off, as described above).
This occurs both in unity2d and gnome classic sessions. The machine on which I have observed this behavior doesn't support accelerated graphics, so I can't say if it is the same for unity 3d or gnome shell.
This may not be related, but (re)drawing the screen is also super laggy - I can easily type four or five words ahead of the display, and I am merely an average speed typist.
