Bug Description

Binary package hint: abiword

Currently, AbiWord 2.6.4 is in Xubuntu 8.10 & 9.04. It has a major bug which affects the user experience of this application.

There is a scrolling bug: "Fix a bug that caused scrolling in the opposite direction when scrolling quickly"

This is bug causes alot of issues when scrolling down a document, it causes the page not to scroll or go backwards. It should have been fixed in 8.10, before release. I would like to see this release in 9.04.

This was fixed in 2.6.5 and again in 2.6.6. The bug number is 11539, http://bugzilla.abisource.com/show_bug.cgi?id=11539.

In 2.6.5 & 2.6.6, alot of other bugs was fixed as well.

The changelogs for those releases can be found below:

2.6.5: http://www.abisource.com/changelogs/2.6.5.phtml

2.6.6: http://www.abisource.com/changelogs/2.6.6.phtml
