Bug Description

Please package fakenes from here:

Yes either a current version of fakenes oder nestopia should be added to the Ubuntu repositories: Those are the only emulators, that feature a NTSC filter for an authentic look like on your TV. And emulation is pretty accurate (exspecially Nestopia)

The source code for current Nestopia WIPs can be obtained here: http://rbelmont.mameworld.info/?page_id=200 (only Fedora binaries are linked there).

Currently waiting for upstream's reply about relicensing a part of the package, so it can be added to universe.

Debian bug watch says "Fix Released", but that is in error. It was actually archived for being 365 days old with no recent activity.

It's been over a year here since the last comment as well. Did upstream ever reply, or shall we close this bug?

On second inspection, I'm marking this "invalid". FakeNES is deprecated. New software is called Kadence, but I can't find any link from the site to download Kadence. If the appropriate links can be found, a new bug should be opened for "[needs-packaging] Kadence"
