iMac hangs totally after minute in graphical mode

I installed Ubuntu 12.4 iMac and after booting and login system hangs totally (mouse pointer moving, but system not responding) after minute. I tried restart system few times and same problem.

Mac OS X working and there is no hardware issues.

After that I booted to rescue mode (network & root) system working in text mode. I installed nvidia binary driver from Nvidia site and booted for graphical mode same problem continues. System working about one minute and hangs.

My installation image was ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso.

This problem is reproducible in Unity 2D ?
Can you try removing the proprietary drivers ? (to launch the app, type jockey in the terminal)

Unity 2D makes no difference.

Removing propietary drives seems to work. X sessions has been up almost 30 minutes.

Is there bug in the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS driver?
