2012-04-04 19:14:52 Tin Peressutti description In Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2, Archive Manager fails to open a .docx or .odf files. In previous versions of Ubuntu (11.04, 11.10) this action is possible, AM can open a such files for viewing its content if user chose to right click->open with archive manager. Since .docx and .odf files are XML documents, user should be able to view the content of the file (images, text and stuff are all compressed in a single file with docx/odf extension). But in 12.04 the Archive Manager is unable to open files with that extensions, declaring "Archive type not supported". Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch) Release: 12.04 (fresh install) Using Unity 2D environment Ubuntu Software Center 5.1.14.1 File-roller 3.4.0 Also installed: LibreOffice 3.5.0 (can open docx/odf file and is associated with those types) p7zip-full p7zip-rar In Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2, Archive Manager fails to open a .docx or .odf files.
