I do prefer "Dash Home" or simply "Dash"

Home can be confused with the home folder!

Yes, it is a translation problem, anyway I think the solution for the italian language can be one of the following ones:
- Applicazioni
- Cruscotto
- Pannello di Controllo

The french version, for instance, is "Tableau de bord".

Hello,

we discussed this issue on the translator mailing list a while ago (discussion around February and March), and we decided to use only "Home" for that tooltip. The rationale behind that choice is that it is the entry point of all of the Dash functionalities, and of all the Lenses, it is the starting point for using Ubuntu and Unity. The problem, as was raised by other people was that the first translation "Home della Dash", was "ugly". After that, we switched to use a simple and general Home.

I understand that someone might find this strange, but after some discussions we decided to take that path.
I'm marking this as invalid, since it is not a real bug nor a translation error.

Thank you.

I do not agree with that decision, I suggest to reconsider it! See other translations (Inicio,Tableau de bord, Dash-Startseite etc.). The original version, "dash home" (I think that" dash", in this case, is an abbreviation of "dashboard"), is not confusing, but just "home" can be misunderstood. I think that a normal user, as I am, cannot understand the reason of that choice. Anyway, "ubi maior minor cessat" .....
