ubuntu feisty beta, no screens found on macbook pro

first revision macbook pro

the ubuntu beta desktop live cd boots up on my machine
but xorg cannot be started.
it says "no screens found"

so i am not able to install the beta here

herd 4 and 5 run fine on my machine
(except some little issues, but hey, it's alpha :)

hopefully the release version will work...
i don't want to switch back to osx again..

This is a huge problem! Please guys, you can't release feisty without fixing this bug, it affects a lot of people to whom ubuntu appeals.

I think this is a duplicate bug, I have found several bugs complaining about the same error. This is not a macbook pro only bug. See this one that has been marked as high importance: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/104993
Also it seems that Brian Murray is trying to fix it.
