Bug Description

An installation of Ubuntu 11.10 on my Macbook Air does not seem to be able to click and drag things properly. If I want to move a window I have to click down on the trackpad and with the same finger drag the window around without keeping my finger pressed down on the button. This is an unnatural way to use the trackpad and is completely different to Mac OS X and makes its use very difficult. The correct means of doing this is to have one finger pressed down on the trackpad for the mouse click and then use another finger to drag the window (or what ever) around the screen. The problem is that I have two finger scrolling turned on, so as soon as I put a second finger down the the trackpad it thinks that I want to scroll. What it should be checking is that if the mouse button is pressed and there are 2 fingers on the trackpad then only one finger should be registered for movement and not apply the two finger scrolling (if you see what I mean :) ). I will explain further if needed but really it needs someone with an Apple trackpad to be able to relate to what I'm saying.

been present forever. using macbook pro 15 inch from 2009. I was hoping the other first bug would have been looked at by now because it's super annoying. I have to use a mouse or my fingertip starts to feel weird.
