Fn key not working on Apple Wireless Keyboard (Lion version)

On the updated version of the apple wireless keyboard for Lion, the fn key is not working thus it is impossible to use the hotkeys like vol up / vol down.

Trying to grab output of the keyboard keys F1 - F12 with xev leads to the same trace even if the fn key is pressed.

I am running kubuntu 11.04 on the MacBook Pro 13" 2011. The keyboard model chosen in the settings is Apple | MacBook/MacBook Pro and the layout is fr-Macintosh.

Kernel 3.0.0.14 update adds fn key support but breaks suspend function.
After suspend/wakeup cycle, only the fn keys works.

I'm running Kernel 3.0.0.14 and I have loaded module hid_apple but my fn key is still not working. Is there anything I can do to give you more information about the problem?

Hi all — can you check if this is the same bug as #911064? Run 'hidd' and see if the device ID given is [05ac:0255].

If so, please mark this bug as a duplicate and indicate you are affected by the other one, so we can get a fix sooner.
