Bug Description

I'm using an Acer Travelmate 8472TG with EasyPort IV Docking station. The docking station has a DVI interface that I connect to a DVI display (no hdmi adapter).

If the integrated NVIDIA graphics card is used (set to "discrete" in bios) everything works.

If the intel graphics card is used, connecting the display at the DVI connector (via DVI, no hdmi adapter) triggers xrandr to change screen resolutions. It displays the correct "available resolutions" but the display stays black ("no signal" -> standby).

I'm using the current version of ubuntu 11.04. The problem already existed in 10.10.

Same problem here. Ubuntu 11.11 on Thinkpad T410 with Nvidia Optimus Hybrid Technology and Thinkpad Mini Dock Plus Series 3. Only difference is that I couldn't make it work with the Nvidia Chip either. VGA works fine.

There is no problem here; the hw is functioning as designed. That is the DVI is connected to the nvidia and not the Intel GPU.
