Bug Description

It doesn't matter if it's the globalmenu or the indicator-area, the dropdown-menus are drawn in an rather ugly way.

Steps to reproduce

- hover over one of the said elements
- the dropdown-menu appears, at this point everything is OK.
- but when you release the menu or move to another element, the menu disappears, for a short moment a white rectangular (same position/size as menu) is drawn and flashes away

Wanted behaviour

the menu should simply fade-out. (... and maybe fade-in)

Also setting a different effects in the section "animation" with compiz setting manager (i use skewer) before close animation the menu goes white.
for applications like eclipse or chronium that have not integrated their menu in the panel its all rigth...
