When muting volume control the icon vanishes

Bug Description

Testing Natty Beta 1 ,in Unity. When muting volume through the gnome-volume-control icon drop down or in the volume control program preferences, the icon vanishes from the top panel.. After unchecking mute in the program window the icon reappears.

3 I expected the volume to mute and the icon to remain on the panel.

I cannot reproduce this issue in a fully updated natty, the icon gray out, but still on the notify area
