Bug Description

Perl6 is a new version of Perl programming language. Although it's in development it's stable enough for provide a ubuntu package.

The most stable compiler is rakudo (see http://perl6.org/compilers/). There is a Rakudo Star package in Fedora 14 [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/Rakudo_Star].

Perl6 and perl5 could coexist without problems.

The best is to provide rakudo package for perl6, but it could be package other compilers. But I think you could provide at least one compiler for perl6.

Regards,
Xan.

Thanks for reporting.

Starting with Ubuntu 17.04, perl6 has been available as a metapackage. For now it points to the rakudo package which has been available even longer. :)
