Cannot authenticate on Forefront TMG proxy with ntlmv2

Both in Ubuntu 10.04 and Ubuntu 10.10, I cannot use a network proxy with username and password, which is Microsoft Forefront TMG 2010, because I receive an error: "Proxy Authentication Required ( Forefront TMG requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied. )".

There are 2 ways I found to use this proxy:
- Firefox supports this proxy directly
- For all other communication, including Synaptic, I have to use cntlm package to set ntlmv2 for TMG and then use 127.0.0.1:3128 as a proxy, with cached username and password. It's not easy to set nor flexible, because password changes.

Advices with
Acquire::http::Proxy http://username:<email address hidden>:port/
like in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1589510, or
export http_proxy=http://username:<email address hidden>:8080/
like in http://ubuntu-ky.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8417883, didn't work for me.

With Proxy Forefront I resolved using url encoding. So the domain\name becomes domain%5name . Do the same for special characters in the password.

I'm also affected. Utl encoding mentioned by RColombo didn't work. chrome supports the proxy, but apt-get doesn't. I could download packages. I could only after using cntlm as described in the initial report.
