Defering to Natty, unfortunately we missed feature freeze by too far.

Workaround: Its possible to use the versions from Acire and Python snippets out of the PPAs for Lucid under Maverick, though not a good solution :/

Hey Arvind, I'd like to get it in the archives for natty so that we can include it in Edubuntu (same for acire where you also asked), unfortunately I've had lots of other high-priorty things to do recently. If you'd like to take it, then you're welcome by all means, otherwise I will still try to get it in in time.

If you are interested in packaging, do continue-I might not be able to get it included in Ubuntu by feature freeze. I will try to but you should also try-got a few academic commitments popping up :(. Same with acire as well.
