Bug Description
Hi. The most excellent feature of windows on Ubuntu; where when you drag them, they will "bump into" and momentarily become sticky at certain obvious places: the edges of the screen and other windows. I have found an inconsistency.
To see the effect: I had open a Firefox window, large and in the middle of the screen. Then opened a GEdit window, smaller, on top of Firefox and in the middle of the screen. Now, when dragging the GEdit window slowly left, it will momentarily stick when its left edge lines up with the Firefox window in back of it. Keep dragging and it goes past there. But dragging in the other direction, it will not become sticky. The same thing happens when dragging past the right edge of the window: when moving left there is stickiness, but not when moving right.
Thanks.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in a more recent version of Ubuntu - the Gutsy Gibbon. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the bug doesn't fit requirements for backporting. See [WWW] https:/ /help.ubuntu. com/community/ UbuntuBackports for more information.
