Bug Description

Babeleo is a plasmoid that when clicked upon takes the text from the clipboard buffer and searches for translations on leo.org, which is the dominant German-English translation site (LEO was created by the Technical University of Munich and now also offers other languages like French and Chinese). There is no more convenient way for instant translation of text from any application than this!

License: GPL

Notes: It's a Plasmoid for KDE 4.x. For Jaunty and Karmic there was a PPA. For Lucid there is no package in that PPA and I cannot figure out how to compile it, I get error messages. It was still working after the upgrade to Lucid, but I had to reinstall.

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Reviewing needs-packaging bug reports I have concluded that this bug is likely a duplicate of bug 597029. It'd be great if you could help consolidate these bug reports by performing the following actions.

1. Examine both bug reports to determine if they are actually duplicates.
2. Determine which bug report is more complete - a more complete bug report will have a status of Confirmed, Triaged or In Progress, may be assigned to someone or may possess a bug watch.
3. Mark the other bug report a duplicate of the complete one by clicking 'Mark as duplicate' on the right hand side of the bug page.

Thanks for helping out!

I agree, this plasmoid is a very nice addition to any KDE workspace, especially when international browsing is involved. Please package this for the current (K)Ubuntu!

Much obliged,
Antonio
