Pencil is a tool for making diagrams and gui prototypes. It's sort of an open source alternative to Balsamiq. It runs as a firefox plugin.

I installed the Karmic package from the webpage - but the package didn't run. - I won't compile the source package by myself as it may conflict with pencil.

I would really like to see the Pencil GUI prototype tool in Ubuntu. I would prefer, though, to have the standalone version than the Firefox plugin version.
