I'm unable to reproduce this on Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx".

http://www.nexuiz.com and http://www.draugiem.lv/music/ work fine. I couldn't find an instant music preview at http://www.beemp3.com

http://www.mp3world.com doesn't seem to be a "real" site.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Since you mentioned that this causes Firefox to crash, could you please generate an apport crash report for this?
You can enable apport for one instance like this:
sudo service apport start force_start=1

I am marking this invalid as apport will open a new bug when the crash is generated. If it does not, you can reset the status of this one to New and we will try something else.

Or sorry, I just saw that apport-retracing is subscribed, was this an apport-generated crash report?

I think so, given the apport-collected tag and the attached files in comments 1-4, plus the apport-retracing subscription that you mentioned.

I tried the link in comment #8. I worked out that I had to enter the code and click the button to get to the instant preview. I then played the instant preview but Firefox did not freeze or crash.

A minute ago - Freeze again.
Steps before freeze:
1. opened firefox;
2. find out that sound is not working from youtube;
3. opened sound configuration;
4. switched sound settings from Stereo to 5.1 + Analog Input for my Audigy LS ( CA0106 )
5. closed firefox ;
6. opened firefox;
7. sound is not working still ...
8. opened terminal and run "sudo alsa force-reload";
9. repeated steps from number 4. to 6. and resulted to step 7. :(
10. opened google and then opened myspace link containing Limp Bizkit - My Way video;
11. closed myspace tab ...
12. gained DAMNED FRUSTRATION-Statisfication from FireFox Freeze ...

...

Rythmbox is always working in mean time ...

Can you see if you might have a file: ~/.mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so. If you do remove it and sudo apt-get --reinstall install flashplugin-installer. Restart firefox and see if it is more stable.

This seems to be an ALSA problem. Does booting with pci=nomsi appended to the kernel command line help?
