Same with the Asus EeePC 1101HA, that also uses the GMA 500 graphics card. Performance is bad, too. So far the workarounds from 9.10 mentioned here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsVideoCardsPoulsbo/ don't work. Pity!

This hardware was certified for 9.10 (http://webapps.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/200910-4251/) so this is a regression.

This bug still appears to affect Natty, and also the Dell Inspiron Mini 1010: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/814583

Following duplicate https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/814583

The EMGD driver from http://ppa.launchpad.net/gma500/emgd/ubuntu solved the problem for me (Dell mini 1010 with Poulsbo on Natty).

The resolution is now 1366x768 and it's even possible to play full screen videos with totem.

Only the adobe flash plugin is still slow.

Don't know if it also works on Acer Aspire One.

Stuart Bishop, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.
