Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

while brightness-down key combination (fn+f6) works well, brightness-up (fn+f7) doesn't.

Notebook model: fujitsu v6555.

As workaround I'm using this script:

#!/bin/bash
bright=$(cat /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness)
let "bright = $bright + 1"
echo $bright > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness

and

sudo su
echo 7 > /proc/acpi/video/IGPU/LCD0/brightness

works well too.

So I think it is simple to make a quirk.

Modprobing fujitsu-laptop module does not solve.

On Karmic, with nv driver, brightness-up key works well

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
