Bug Description

Adaptec provides rpm's for their RAID management software "StorMan". These can be made to work with Ubuntu using alien and a few tricks, but it is less than optimal. I am filing this bug to draw attention to the need for this software to be repackaged as debs. It is hard to take Ubuntu seriously as a server platform when it does not support key management applications. (I fully realize this is Adaptec's fault, not anything to do with Ubuntu per se.) Maybe someone will step up and package it? I unfortunately do not have the time.

summary: - Adaptec StorMan is available for redhat, suse, centos, but not Ubuntu!
