Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 yesterday and today I needed to do a Ubuntu package search so I went to the search box in Firefox and went to click on "ubuntu package search", but it wasn't there.

It seems to be provided by:
/usr/lib/firefox-addons/searchplugins/en-US/debsearch.gif
/usr/lib/firefox-addons/searchplugins/en-US/debsearch.src

Which are in Firefox-3.5 in Karmic, but are missing from Firefox in Lucid.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. I can confirm this, but I need to make sure this was not done on purpose before marking triaged. Please report any other bugs you may find.

If this has been done on purpose, can we have a separate package which installs debsearch?

In the meantime one can add launchpad and ubuntu search engines.

We're going to make a separate package out of this since the default search engine list is already long.
