Bug Description
Oh, this is going to be tough to explain. I don't know if this has already been submitted, but here it goes.
I just downloaded 114MB worth of updates.
I rebooted, and everything was smooth. So, I open up the Computer Janitor, and it asks me to verify my password. I type it in and hit enter. The screen freezes. Nothing moves. Nothing works. The light doesn't even come on next to CAPS lock when I press it.
Alt+F4 doesn't work, Ctrl Alt Del doesn't work, nothing. Happens any time I need to enter my password, like when opening update manager or the computer janitor.
Let me know if you need any more info. Thought I should get this out, because this is Critical.
EDIT: Okay, I tried opening up the Computer Janitor again. This time after I entered my password, I clicked ENTER with the mouse, instead of hitting ENTER on my keyboard, and it worked fine. Some kind of firmware problem maybe?

I have the same problem, but I'm not sure it only affects the password prompt.
I have experienced freezes like that even when I'm in Thunderbird and wanted to start replying to an email by hitting [enter] to make extra room for my reply, on the first click of [enter] the computer totally froze. clock stopped working, mouse, keyboard stopped working, couldn't open another shell or anything. Had to use hardware power button.
First I thought this bug was related to a password prompt, but after this it seems it's related to the keyboard [enter] button...
Norwegian keyboard, by the way.
