Bug Description
Hello good people, I´m using ubuntu karmic 9.10, and in it I verified the same problem which was happening since ubuntu jaunty. My usb minimodem device is most of the time recognized as a storange device, and I have to use usb_modeswitch to make ubuntu recognize it as a minimodem.
I know this modem had been originaly made to be compatible with ubuntu 8.04, but I hope you can manage to make this minimodem automaticaly recognizable in future, so I can get rid of usb_modeswitch.
