I have a first-draft package in my PPA, which I would like to clean up a bit and try to get accepted into the repos. Launchpad hasn't built the package yet, but it builds on my system. I'm just not sure if the best approach is to try to get it into Ubuntu or take it up to Debian first.

My PPA is https://launchpad.net/~smcgrath23/+archive/smcgrath if someone wants to check it out and provide me some guidance.

cnetworkmanager could now be synced from Debian sid main (in Maverick).

Current version is 0.21.1-1 and builds fine in Lucid.

This bug has been fixed in Maverick 10.10 at least, could we close this bug.

The cnetworkmanager package has been superseeded by the cli tools in the network-manager package which contains
nmcli
nm-tool
nm-online

Superseded in what way?

nm-tool will only display the status of NM.
nm-online will only report whether it’s online or not.

nmcli seems like it’s a start, but it won’t allow you to activate connections that require secrets, like cnetworkmanager does. (and it will let you delete connections but not create them…wtf?

This project is dead upstream (and the upstream maintainer recommends a move to nmcli). Marking this as Won't Fix accordingly.
