Bug Description

I've made working my USB dongle USR5422 of U.S. Robotics blacklisting the islsm modules 'cause on the prism54 site my card is still in experimental, with ndiswrapper works fine but randomly the system completely freeze and the only way to exit is hard-reset, no problems with ethernet, plese fix this before the final-release! here my output of lspci and lsusb, the laptop is an Asus L8400L.

I've found something: this bug happens only when i use the -686 version of the kernel, with the -386 version by now never freezed-up.

Same here, using ndiswrapper with usb adapter, however this is not the same wifi adapter, this one is an encore g or something like that, the chipset is SiS.

I have noticed also that this happens with -686 kernel, 383 kernel doesn't give any problems, tested with kernel 2.6.15-27-686

I just compiled my own ndiswrapper 1.9 downloaded from sourceforge and no more hangups. I think that the ndiswrapper shipped with the ubuntu 686 kernels is somehow broken.
