Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Have been running beta and had no problem. After update my HUAWEI E170 mobile modem can not be connected. It directly disconnects. The "cdrom" in it is mounted on my desktop, maybe the change from that to modem that stopped working.

Change to package linux, this have to be kernel/module problem. Maybe its the flip from cdrom to modem that does'nt work any more

affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) → linux (Ubuntu)

The modem flashing blue and is in "ready" 3G state. When trying to connect, it starts to flash green for some seconds and then you get a disconnect. Tried to boot all old kernels but no change.

When downgrade to jaunty network-manager and network-manager-gnome

network-manager_0.7.1~rc4.1.cf199a964-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb
network-manager-gnome_0.7.1~rc4.1-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb

it works again, so it is pretty confirmed that new network-manager is the problem. Comments??

Do you have usb-modeswitch installed?
Have you tried to unmount the modem's pseudocd drive before using it in network manager?
