Smart Eiffel is an Open Source compiler for Eiffel language, released under GPL.

The latest snapshot compiles and runs well under Ubuntu Karmic.

Compilers are of low interest.

If there was high request I am sure the compiler would already be in Ubuntu and we do not need multiple compilers for the same language.

IDEs however are still accepted: Like KBasic or EiffelStudio.

This can be said about any package. Anyway I've tested this one and even created a dep package.

It uses autotools so there will be no troubles.

A compiler is expected to be used by developers, not end users in general, also developers are expected to have development skills, those that should be sufficient to get the compilers by them selfs .

We don't have the man power to build packages for every open source software, so yes, packages like this are very low interest, if you have a strong interest please try to acquire some packaging skills and help us.
