Bug Description

I have a Notebook (Acer Extensa 4100) with an "ATI mobility Radeon X700".
When i start the live-cd, all work an i here the start-sound from ubuntu, so x-server is ok. but the screen is black.
I read, that i have to put the following line to my /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS,AUTO"

This line must be in the Graphic-card Device Section.
Then x-server can start and i see the server.

Is it possible, that this line will be set when the computer starts and detects this graphic-card?

I'm not an expert, so all people with ati mobility radeon X700, check this.

thanks
