task manager always group even when the "only when taskbar is full" is checked

In Kubuntu 9.04:
1) Enable grouping by program name and check "only when the taskbar is full".
2) Open any program twice and note that they icons are grouped together on the taskbar.

It doesn't seem to happen anymore in Kubuntu 9.10.
