Bad color choice in virtual console when running screen

Bug Description

When using running screen from in the console the background color for the load average is darck gray. This make the load average virtually unreadable. More worryingly this same color is used in often used vim (when syntax highlighting is enabled) e.g. for recognised keywords in config files - this results in what looks like blank spaces, where you would expect to see an important keyword. No problem when using screen from 'konsole' as both show up as yellow, and no problem

I am using Kubuntu 9.04 on AMD64, screen 4.0.3-11ubuntu4 and vim 7.2.79
