Bug Description

If you add the group foo to user bar, this will not be effected in Konsole (not tested with other apps) until foo logs out and then back into KDE (not tested on Gnome). Opening a new terminal should be enough IMO.

This is the standard unix behaviour, I think. However, the "newgrp" command can be issued to effect the new group membership.

I did not know that. I suppose system-settings should call it after
groups modification for logged in users then...
But would that make it work in already opened applications?
In applications I open after the call?
Or would we need to restart kdeinit?

Not a KDE bug. If you do it via command line it's the same.
