partman not seeing disks when MASS storage devices are connected to the PS3

When installing 1) ubuntu jaunty alternate + PS3
2) the package is on the CD
3) be able to partition the internal HDD
4) Error dialog showing: ????? ?????

Partman is not able to partition any disks at all if there are any MASS storage device connected

Disconnecting MASS storage devices and rebooting the system, makes the install run flawlessly.

Could you please extract /var/log/partman (and preferably also /var/log/syslog) from the installation environment after the failure, and attach those files to this bug report? You should be able to extract them by going back to the main menu and selecting "Save debug logs".
