Bug Description
AFAIK currently an app called xGPS is the only full scale car navigation system (including voice guide) for the iPhone 3G. It uses Google Maps and as far as I read somewhere it can also handle OpenStreetMaps.
Problem is that by default it seems to work only on an offboard basis, i.e. you need a (probably preferably UMTS) reliable internet connection to navigate, which is not available everywhere and which can produce high roaming costs when you are abroad.
