Bug Description

Hi,
I would be very glad to have in ubuntu repositories one of the best IO performance testing tool out there, fio.

Its author doesn't need any presentations, since it is Jens Axboe, the maintainer of the linux kernel block level, author of CFQ IO scheduler and blktrace.

You can find it there:

Thanks a lot!

Is this packaged in 9.10? I can't find it in Universe.

General Launchpad feedback: It'd be really nice to have the date opened, date closed, date status last changed be more visible on bugs. And distro when the bug was released. I had to look quite hard to see the "Opened by..." grey text on top right, and there's no indication of when this bug was fixed upstream in the summary.

Thanks!
Dave.
