Bug Description
this isn't a huge bug, but still.
This is in Ubuntu 8.10.
as far as what package?
* (Choose…)
"Nautilus 2.24.1" does not exist in Ubuntu. Please choose a different package. If you're unsure, please select "I don't know"
I literally pasted that from the "about:" window. This system refuses to accept it so I put "I don't know".
I have two windows open in Nautilus file-viewer, one with a source directory full of files, another with a target directory where I want to put them. If I select the files from one window and cut and paste them into the other window all is fine (though here also there is a bug where if I cancel the file-transfer, a file "remnant" will remain in the target directory...but that is not the bug that I'm talking about now).
Now if I have an application running and I want to do this, but say in between the cutting and the pasting I open the file-open dialog in the application, Nautilus will not enable the paste dialog. I get a different dialog which doesn't even have past as an option. I have to close the file-open window before I can get the paste dialog. Not a huge bug, but still, caught me by surprise.
thanks & good luck
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Is this bug reproducible with the latest Lucid packages ?
Thanks in advance.
