Bug Description
Hi,
I have Jaunty x86 installed on an XFS partition in a single root filesystem. I deleted some large log files in /var/log totaling about 2 GB, and after deleting them I noticed that my free diskspace (reported by df) did not change. I verified it several times with Nautilus and df, which agreed that I had only about 500 MB of free space. Then I rebooted, and it now reports 2.5 GB of free space. Why the delay?
Thanks!

I have this problem too. Exactly the same location. Deleted a 18GB apache logfile with rm command and it is gone without any freed disk space. I have looked after huge files with "sudo find / -size +50M -exec ls -la {} \;" but no huge files exists elsewhere.
