2009-05-05 04:46:30 aesop description I switched clean (new installation) to Ubuntu 9.04 64bit from 8.10 64 bit. I have a HP 6715s with AMD X2 and ATI x1250. When i boot Ubuntu the fan starts every 30 seconds with CPU @800MHz. With Ubuntu Ibex it was every 5 Minutes for less then 10 seconds. With Ubuntu Ibex it was every 5 Minutes for less then 10 seconds and a power consumption of 13 watts. I think there is something wrong with the free xorg driver radeon maybe.
