Bug Description

When I switched from the Ubuntu Netbook Remix interface to the Classic Ubuntu Desktop, Gnome froze and didn't reappear (I only saw the background and could access the Help panel by pressing F1). I restarted the netbook (Asus eee PC 1000HA), and gnome's panels would not launch. I reinstalled Gnome Panel and Gnome Desktop from the terminal, and the problem persisted. I had to reinstall Ubuntu from scratch.

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 (Ubuntu Netbook Remix).
